Build an Amazon aStore
Once you get accepted (which isn't hard) you are able to sign in and browse for products to sell. You have a couple different options at this point.. You can either post banner ads on your own site to send traffic to Amazon.. Build a widget to show a list of products and place on your site or to continue with this idea you will use the third option which is building an aStore.. This storefront is free! Basically they build you a fully functional site that you can completely customize with your own logos, headers, and the category of products you wish to promote. The easiest products to sell are books, cds, and other products under $50. This is because you want people to buy from your site and not leave.. think about it.. and go back to Amazon.com directly to buy it.
Once your aStore is built and you have the categories of products you wish to promote you will be given a URL to your store. You can market your site anyway you want but I have found that using Google Adwords has worked best for me.
When I first started I advertised with Adwords but directed my ads directly to the Amazon.com site using my affiliate URL. I thought it would work and I made some amazing commission but they soon caught on.. lol.. Now promoting your aStore it is flawless.
For this idea like I am going to talk about using Google Adwords so I hope you have an account. When designing your ad gear it towards Amazon completly... For the header of the ad I used Amazon.com.... and for the description instead of using the start page of my aStore I picked a category page and advertised that.. For example if one of your category pages is "best selling books" then The "body" of the ad I would write "Best selling books" and something smart like "ship it today".. As for the display URL I still use Amazon.com but the actual link URL I would use the category page so visitors that click the link would go directly to the "Best selling books" page.
The keywords are the next part.. choose them wisely.. lol. I used "amazon" and got the #1 spot on the search results. But also category specific ones as well like "best selling books" and other related keywords to the products on your category page.
Don't spend too much money per click, keep the cost per click down to under .18 and you will be fine.
All you have to do now is set your daily budget and start watching your money roll in.
Good luck with this endeavor,
Cheers,
Patrick Riley

I have a check sent to me once I have $100 earned. Its easier for me that way to keep track of all the affiliate programs.
